FLASH FOUR

Privacy policy

Effective September 24, 2026 · Flash Four for iOS

Flash Four is developed by Mike McAndrews. The game keeps progress on your device and uses Apple services for optional online leaderboards and purchases. This policy explains those features and what happens when you contact support.

Information kept on your device

Flash Four stores your local nickname, progress, records, unlocked items, and settings on your device. The iOS game does not send this local save data to a developer-operated server. You do not need to create a Flash Four account.

An optional local playtest recorder is off by default. If enabled, it records events such as runs, milestones, pit results, and retries on your device. These logs are not uploaded automatically. You can stop recording, export the logs, or delete them using the playtest controls in settings.

Apple Game Center

When you are signed in to Game Center, new ranked runs automatically send your pass count to Apple for the appropriate leaderboard. The app uses your Game Center identity to associate scores with your account and displays Game Center nicknames, best pass counts, and ranks. Your nickname and score can be visible to other players on the leaderboard. Pending submissions may be saved on your device for retry with the same Game Center account.

Game Center is optional. Free Run and Stage Previews are unranked, and you can play with local records without signing in. Manage Game Center access and sharing in your Apple settings. Apple processes this information under its Game Center privacy notice and privacy policy.

Purchases

Apple processes optional in-app purchases. Flash Four uses Apple's StoreKit service to verify transactions and determine which cosmetic items you own. The app does not receive your payment-card details. Restore Purchases checks purchases associated with the Apple Account you use for the App Store.

Apple manages purchase records under its App Store privacy notice. Removing the app or deleting local progress does not erase Apple's purchase history.

Advertising, tracking, and diagnostics

Flash Four does not include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or a separate remote analytics service. Apple may process App Store, Game Center, usage, and diagnostic information under its own policies and your Apple settings, including reports made available to developers through Apple's services.

Backups and information you share

Progress backups, score sharing, and playtest exports leave the app only when you choose to save or share them. A backup can contain your local nickname, records, settings, and progress. Where you save a file, and who you share it with, determines who can access it. Apple purchases are restored separately from progress backups.
